Tax Day
Well, it's here again, April 15th. I suspect
that librarians rejoice on this day.6th annual
Internet Conference
On Friday, May 9, 1997, OHIONET will host its 6th
annual Internet Conference on the OCLC campus in
Dublin, Ohio. This year's theme, "Changing Roles:
Empowering Librarians and Users in a World Wide
Library," reflects the profound impact the Internet
and new technological advances are having on Ohio
libraries and Ohio Librarians. Visit the above link for

First Online Registration
The first online CE registration took place on
March 26th, 1997. While maybe not as impressive as Neal
Armstrong's first walk on the moon, Pam Schamburg of the
Burton Public Library had this to say "I am sending
this just in case you did not receive our fax". Way
to go, Pam. In being the first, Pam and Burton Library
will be receiving a beautiful edition of Dorling
Kindersly's "Chronicles of the 20th Century".
