Hanging at Camp Internet

Hi folks! Having fun at Camp Internet. Yesterday, we were treated to a great presentation by Gail Featheringham from MOLO on Health related resources on the web. Very timely and informative. In the afternoon, Sandra Ruth did a presentation on Genealogy on the net. Good stuff.

Today, we are in the middle of a Gail Metz presentation on "Strategies for teaching the Patrons". This is probably the last year for Camp Internet in this format as more personalized and "just in time" training experiences are planned for the coming year.

News Organizations fighting filtering software

An ad hoc coalition known as the Internet Content Coalition is supporting the idea of a "news" rating, which could allow journalistic sites to automatically bypass filters. See the story here.
