New Periodical Search Engine Announced

Northern Light is a new kind of search engine on the net. It is interesting due to the pricing model. They are providing access to periodicals and journals on a straight "pay as you go" model, versus a hefty subscription like ProQuest Direct. Articles are typically $1.00. It is too early to tell if this will catch on, but it is a sign that more information is going to be available direct to the consumer.

There back. The ZD publication rates the web. This is usually a good place to go fishing if you are building virtual reference pages or creating bookmark lists. There is a lot of commercialism, but there are also great resource pages.

 

NOLA Set to Begin Laptop Lab Setup

Well, after arduous quote configurations, it looks like we will be ordering our laptop training lab shortly. The lab will live at NOLA headquarters mostly, but gives us the capability to come to your town and do training, demos and seminars. At home, we will be adding monitors, keyboards and mice for a more comfortable environment.
