Hubbard Public Library Website Ramping Up

The library recently brought a new technology person on board. Shawn Walsh is in the process of revamping and updating their website. Shawn is using JavaScript and they will be adding community links shortly.

Initiatives to speed up the Internet through the development of seperate networks are gaining speed. Both Internet2 and Next Generation Internet are being developed to allow opportunities in the areas of telemedicine, distance-independent education and digital libraries.

 

The Public Wants Computers in Schools, But . . .

A new study shows the general public overwhelmingly supports school computers, but a recent article in the Atlantic Monthly points out that real achievement hasn't increased much.
