The New 3Rs - Retooling, Retraining, Revitalizing: Transforming Ourselves for the Future Speaker: Maureen Sullivan Maureen Sullivan Associates Libraries and the people who work in them continue to face the challenges of change: in what their customers expect, in the services they provide, in the ways they contribute to the life of the communities they serve, in the ways in which they work together, and in how they perform their work. This interactive program will focus on how we can meet these challenges by rethinking what we do and how we do it. Participants will learn practical strategies for preparing themselves to assume new roles and responsibilities and for leading change in their library. Maureen Sullivan is an organizational development consultant whose practice focuses on the delivery of consulting and training services to libraries and other information organizations. She has 18 years of experience as a consultant on organizational development, strategic planning, introducing and managing organizational change, organization and work redesign, strategic planning for staff development and learning, and revising position classification and compensation systems. Her experience includes 12 years as the human resources administrator in the libraries at the University of Maryland and at Yale University.
Directions to the meeting: Leo’s Ristorante is located on East Market Street (Sharon-Warren Road / Old 82) in Howland Township. From Route 82 East, exit at Route 46 and turn left at the light onto Route 46N or if you are coming from Route 82 West, exit at Route 46 and turn right onto Route 46N Turn left at East Market Street (BP Gas station on corner). Leo’s is on the left hand side, approximately 1 mile west of the intersection of 46 and East Market Street. Luncheon Information: The main entrees are Pasta Primavera and Chicken Francaise Luncheon includes salad, vegetable, rolls and butter, dessert and choice of beverage. Please indicate entree choice on the registration form. Luncheon cost is $12.00. Registration Deadline is February 9, 1999.
