American Family Association Chapters Petition for Filters in Michigan Two Michigan chapters of the American Family Association are using the petition process to get filter-mandate initiatives on local ballots for a February 22 special election. The Holland Area Family Association began gathering signatures November 18 for a ballot measure requiring blocking software on all but one of the Herrick District Librarys computers. That same day, Holland trustees reaffirmed their policy of relying on parental permission rather than blocking software. Holland AFA chapter president James Rozeboom said in the November 19 Holland Sentinel that citizens should decide whether libraries "should stop offering free access to pornography in public buildings where adults and young children share restrooms and other facilities." On November 19, the Hudsonville AFA chapter submitted for City Attorney Dick Wendts approval a draft petition with the same provisions as Hollands. Hudsonville library Director Melissa Huisman told American Libraries, "Were not sure where [the AFA] is coming from" since her library filters childrens Internet access and issues all patrons smart cards embedded with their filtering preferences. So you need a turkey for the holidays and you think I'll try one of these new "online" grocery services (such as Peapod or Webvan).Well the results for Thanksgiving orders were a bit less than stellar. While both services accept coupons, have outstanding delivery and pretty good prices - simliar to shopping at Giant Eagle, service coverage is limited as may be product availability and quality can be an issue (especially during big peak purchasing times). It looks like both services are on the right track - but I'd wait
another year before entering the on-line food arena. Tech Question Question: How can I clear the AutoComplete data for Internet Explorer 5.0?
