Charge The Membership Committee will promote new membership in NOLA (one new member in each county every two years) and increased participation by current NOLA members. The Committee will advise the Board of NOLA activities, especially concerning the Membership Council meetings, which will enhance the value of NOLA to its members. The Committee will make recommendations concerning the marketing of NOLA to prospective members. The Committee will make recommendations concerning library web sites, libraries, and librarians to spotlight on The Desktop and in NOLA Notes. The Committee will develop guidelines for spotlighting special events in member libraries on The Desktop. The role of the Committee is fluid and recommendations for changes in responsibilities should be communicated to the President in a timely manner. See also Article VII, Section J of the NOLA By-laws.
