Ebsco and NetWellness

OPLIN has added more commercial databases since NOLA’s original reference database class. We can now offer a second reference database class which will allow librarians an opportunity to spend hands-on time using these new resources. The two new resources are Ebscohost (which provides access to over 3,100 indexed and abstracted titles) and NetWellness, a consumer health information database.

NOLA is willing to offer a second OPLIN reference database class but first needs to ascertain if there is interest in this class. Please respond via email to [email protected] if you would be interested in sending staff to this class and the number of people that you would consider sending.

Auditor Board Selection

Melissa Lattanzi, Clerk-Treasurer, has been selected to serve on the Regional Advisory Board for the Youngstown Regional office of Auditor of State. This office covers eight counties including: Ashtabula, Trumbull, Portage, Mahoning , and Columbiana. This board is made up of both public and private sector representatives. The board is to aid Jim Petro, Auditor of State, in improving the efficiency of the audit process. This board will meet quarterly. If anyone has concerns regarding audits please notify Melissa, and she will be happy to bring your concerns to the Regional Advisory Board.
