Attention NOLA Libraries: The Utimate Reference Tool has Arrived! It slices, it dices, it answers all your hard to answer reference questions (well almost)! Check out the Ohio RefLinks Project, brought to you by librarians desperately seeking the best reference resources on the net. Read the ORP Philosophy, then take a look. Browse around. Try the links. Need something we don't have? Let us know what you think. Good, bad or other. For more info, or if you would like to become part of the RefLinks Project, send email to [email protected]. New Web Book Normally I like to read a book before I recommend it, but this book is getting a lot of favorable comments from folks I really respect. Like Jakob Nielson and Roy Tennant. Anyway, the book is entitled "Information Architecture for the World Wide Web" by by Louis Rosenfeld and Peter Morville. NOLA is ordering it for the professional collection. Public Library Teams with Amazon.Com In a further graying of the roles, a public library has joined the online booksellers Associates Program, allowing it to benefit financially from referral sales. Associates post links from books on their website and as folks purchase, the associate can earn up to 15% of the purchase price. Story here. Items submitted by: |
