Portage Names Director

Barbara Bryner, the President of the Portage County District Library's Board of Trustees, announced that Larry Corbus will be their new Library Director effective September 1, 1998. He formerly served as Director of Geauga County Public Library. Congratulations. I look forward to working with Larry once again.

Statewide Reference Backup Service

As many of you already know, at the last State Library Board meeting, a grant was awarded to the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County to provide statewide reference back-up.

Cincinnati has established an e-mail address for libraries to send their reference questions. It is [email protected] . Your libraries can use this address immediately.

Cincinnati will be putting out more information to the Ohio library community about this new service.
