Ravenna Bicentennial Celebration
Ravenna will be 200 years old in 1999!
You can join in the celebration by visiting several pages devoted to this event.
Check out the Bicentennial Calendar,
which lists the planned activities of the Bicentennial Commission, where something new
will be happening every month.
Find out what The Reed Library has added to the Local History Project.
The library trustees hope that this will prove useful to Ravenna students,

Portage
Library Consortium
Want to find a title, author or do a search by subject? Oh, by the way...
it's after hours? Never fear, your efforts have been made much easier, thanks to the
consortium of the Kent Free Library, Portage County District Library, and The Reed
Memorial Library. You can even download citations for an entire hitlist. If you don't have
an account, you can log on as a guest, but this is one feature that Ravenna area residents
will want to take full advantage of, especially since they can 'go to the library' in
their pajamas! Now, that's progress! Click on for a free ride, to see how
easy it really is to search. |
Local Web Pages
Visit this page to find out who has a presence on the Internet. You will find links to
radio, television and newspapers that serve Ravenna. A popular annual event, the Ravenna Balloon-A-Fair has a site with calendars and some
very colorful photos. You will have access to local and regional school, library and
government websites and information.

Portage County 1857 Map
Simply an incredible resource for genealogists that live across the country. This 1800's
map has hot spots that allow you to zero in on and read about land owners, small towns,
and operating businesses during the period. You can't borrow this artifact, unless you do
it in cyberspace. Click here to take
a little journey back to the 1800's, thanks in part to the Digitization Center at
NOLA.
